What is your yearly Snow? I know you're in CT close to NYC, but is Danbury or Bridgeport more accurate for a seasonal average?
Back to this.. Updated.. Use this site.. It shows all the official airport Climo sites.
Funny Newark is closest to my backyard. Not typically a location that resembles mine. Just the way it goes sometimes with snow especially early on..
NYC has 5.8" for the season.
Philly has 5.5"
Bridgeport has 5.4"
But point is.. Look at inside that yellow area...NO NWS CLIMO STATIONS that keep track of snow. Only with Coop & CoCoRaHS but not NWS. That's a HUGE area with many micro climates within.
yearly? like January 1st through today? Have to check. 6.3" for this season though.
This area is funny...
NYC - The warm pocket
Bridgeport - Right on the water
Danbury doesn't keep track
White Plains doesn't keep track
Poughkeepsie doesn't keep track.
So it's hard to get an "accurate". Lots of microclimates around or UHI or Water effect.
Danbury is over 40"/season.
NYC & Bridgeport is near 25".
Can't use Hartford or Albany.
I'm probably 30" if I had to guess a "normal".
Oh trust me I understand the variability. The Pittsburgh area is so hilly and uneven in elevation, no 2 sites will be the same.
For temps here is :
Pittsburgh- UHI
West Mifflin-UHI (suburban)
Washington, PA - too far south
Beaver - low elevation
Butler - just right for me
DuBois - too high in elevation and too far north
But only NWS Pittsburgh keeps track of snow and it's always less than my backyard since I'm relatively high in elevation and pretty suburban with little UHI.

Yeah Newark would seem closer to NYC or Philly. Guess you'd have to keep track 30 years to get a real estimate haha.
Oh, your gonna be mad then lol. I got 1.5" tonight from backlash / squalls from the coastal storm yay 11.4". Ratios have to be high considering it's been 28 or below for 36 hours!
My snow depth is easily the best in December since 2013. Past week has been great!

Oh crap.. Oh yeah? look at the radar past 4hrs.. I have a chance of snow showers again.. maybe I'll add another 1/2"! lol. I'll catch up, watch.
Looks like Pittsburgh is on the bottom edge and some dried up before getting there but I see a snowflake so maybe they'll record a Trace for today so far.
And Dear Lord at the continuation of lake effect off Erie and Ontario. Gees. Days on end
Reason for the high ratios is exactly that, surface and mid level temps have been very cold. Definitely special for the coast here to keep getting these high ratios fluff snows
Whoa. +10.2" above normal to date. Activity continues. Maybe get to 4 feet of snow before the New Year?
NWS Cleveland +18.4" above normal for this month! Normal is 16" and they have 34" this month to date
