Thoughts on Nome, Alaska being on the list-since western Alaska is having one of its warmer winters on record, probably making for a banner snow year. I'm sure their "warm" temperature are still well below freezing though
Here's a look at the snowfall total departures to date.. I circled all the NWS locations that are above normal. Hope I didn't miss any. Surprised about Iowa. I thought they had a nice stretch last week with snow days. Maybe missed the airport sites.
Southeast should hold onto the above normal season..
Boston & Richmond will end up below if they don't get more.
Lots of us near normal.
Atlantic City and Islip still a foot above normal and more coming for Islip tomorrow.
Erie continues to be #1. Caribou, Syracuse, Marquette in the 100" club. Marquette is 37.1" below normal.
South Bend Indiana 8th snowiest at 84" over 2 ft above norm to date
Concord, NH on the list almost a foot above normal
Burlington catching up to normal now.
Check out Havre, MT. Normal to date is 27.1". They have 78.3"! Over 4 feet above normal.
Montana having a big season. Great Falls having their snowiest February on record!
