Is WildCat ready for the storms? Would be night time I think so maybe wont be intense.

Ral in Louisiana on the other hand might get hit.

Soaker rains too.

Tornado watch has been issued thru 11 PM. Looks like the southern end of the squall line is intensifying.

Quote:
SUMMARY...Squall line will begin to accelerate eastward through the
evening hours, with some increase in the damaging wind risk
expected. A couple of tornadoes and large hail will still be
possible, especially with embedded circulations and any
sustained/discrete storms ahead of the line.

The GFS is currently showing a notably powerful May cold snap for down here the weekend of the sixth after a week of what should essentially be summer weather (no thunderstorms though). If the current forecast verified we would see a low of around 60F, not buying it yet though.

For what it's worth the ECMWF agrees in sending some unseasonably cool/dry air our way...who knows, maybe we'll get lucky.

Minnesota as well. Check out the Canadian model. Geesus.

All it takes is a dip with enough cold air

Places close to the coast (Houston, Beaumont, Lake Charles, etc) have been capped, and so won't be seeing these storms.

71 now with a 57 dew. Apparently that's the high so far, felt much warmer earlier with the sun. Anyways, a very nice late April day. Supposed to be in the mid 80s tomorrow for a single day...then back to 50s/60s and rain
