Summer 2002 would be the best case scenario. It could happen again, since we're in a warm regime right now.
RRWT has a warm look for the summer FWIW.
1991 was also an El Nino summer, it was very warm here. Good sumner. I was 19 years old however, most El Nino summers are not. Another warm one was 2006
I'll be in North Carolina over the summer I think, and I'd love a "cool" wet summer like 2004 or 2014. It makes the vegetation nice and lush, without extreme heat and humidity. And plus, a "cool" summer is still plenty warm with average highs in the mid-upper 80s. Both of those summers had over 15" of rain in July and August. A summer like 2013 would be good, too where June got over 10" of rain.

No, the summer of 2013 pissed me off. It rained every damn day from late June through mid-July, and the sky was always overcast by noon. I can do without another summer like that.
Currently 70 , not supposed to drop out of the 62-65 range tonight. Officially warmest Feb on record beating out 1890 by .2 degrees.
W.O.W! It's one thing to hear you mention it every day but its another to see it on paper when all said and done. 3 days in the 80s! 10 days in the 70s!
Meanwhile, wanna know what 2nd warmest February looks like for Bridgeport?
ONLY 4 DAYS AND 8 NIGHTS CONTRIBUTED otherwise would of just been an regular above normal month. I CANT STAND WHEN A COUPLE OF DAYS MISLEADS THE RANKINGS!

No thanks, give me last summer with more storms and longer. It was very lush last summer up until August when the storms quit. July 2013 average like 87/70 and 2014 88/68 I believe. They sucked though 2013 was better in terms of humidity but had one of the least 90 degree counts ever.

Month finished at 66.6/39.9 with a mean of 53.3; I think it's misleading to say we barely beat out the previous warmest Feb which may be true by mean but average high was a good 3 degrees warmer than the next warmest. Average low was not as anomalous which is what made the mean lower. Officially second warmest winter month by mean, but warmest by average high. Mean for December 2015 was 56.
This month holds count for most +70 days in a winter month with 13, beats out previous record of 11. Lowest temp was 26 which does not beat a record.

June 1991 was the 2nd coolest and the cloudiest on record (until 2012, 2016). July and August 1991 were average (August was sunny). September was warm and sunny.
Summer 2002 was poor (but better than 2007, 08, 11, 12). Summer 2006 was very good, with the hottest July on record.
