LaGuardia Airport had a low of 80°F this morning lol. That has to be some sort of record, assuming it holds throughout the day.

It's already 81°F out here in eastern Long Island, feels like summer.

LaGuardia's record high min in May is 78°F so yes it would break May's record high min if it holds.

Chicago's is 77F/25C on May 28th 2012, recorded at ORD.

6-10 day on the Euro makes me want to vomit

Midwest has been wet, but the high Plains have been rather dry past 30 days. Maybe some heat can build there and spread to us??

^^

****ing joke

I dont know what to say about LaGuardia. Do I go on a rant? Do I ask questions? Do I see why? Do I recommend they investigate it?

Lows this morning. 60s and 70s inside and around NYC. Summerlike and where max normals are but to have an 80+ low that no other Eastern US site had north of Miami?

They only dropped 14 degrees off yesterdays high? The 80 low is well above the normal max. Lol
Was in the 40s couple days ago. Talk about unstable. Goodbye below normal month?

I'm pretty sure that site is quality controlled and checked daily, so I doubt it's an error. Must be some intensely localized UHI right around that station. What other reason can it be?

JMA also on board

We had our first 30+C yesterday with 31C. Felt like 35C or more apparently.

Today we are going to the upper 20s. It already feels like 31C at 10 am.

But then it's apparently back to the crappy May 2017 weather, with mid to upper teens for almost a week (or even more).

We should be in the lower 20s (with some days in the mid-20s) fairly consistently at this time.

Humidex? What was the dew point reading when it felt like 35C yesterday?

NYC always has very sticky nights, I'm not surprised. But 80F in mid-May is extreme!

Yesterday's warm blast was actually only the second biggest departure in BGM this month; +14.3. On May 7 it was -14.6, which was the day we had the 42F high

The low was 76F in Miami, not 80F.
