Christ, the Great Lakes are even worse than the Atlantic. At least we don't have "70s in LaGuardia, 30s in JFK" situations like that
We are much worse in the spring. Remember Great Lakes can freeze over solid during the winter (didn't happen this winter)... I've seen 80's in the western suburbs, and 30's downtown on the lake before... Less than 20 miles.
Down to 63 now. Could be our first 60 degree low of the year. Normal is May 15, so this would be almost a month early. It would also be a record warm low, beating the 60 in 1976.
Nope. Fell 6 degrees from 11 pm to midnight so a low of 57.
Currently 51 and sunny. The high could be the 57 at midnight.
So far this month, were averaging 60.3/39.9 which is 6.6 degrees above average. The next week will mostly be low 50s for highs and low 40s for lows which will cut into the positive anomaly. Also, nearly every day is supposed to have rain. There's already 2.72" so far, so this month could top 5". Only 1929 and 2011 have done that.
Clouds approaching Raleigh now.
Clearing for Lexington but more on way
Not one peak of sun here today yet its in the warm 70s. (5000' at 7C)
Richmond 83° to 67° past couple hours from the storms
Thankfully it looks like the above average temperatures are gone for the rest of the week. Looking much more seasonable.
