Graphic from Bernie's video regarding how the Arctic air will feel.

It will just feel "Colder" south of DC.
It will be "noticeable" from Richmond to Boston.
It will be a "true Taste" for New England

Two days forecast with highs below freezing for Whitefield, NH. Wait... didn't that happen April last year, too? Not quite, there was a cold upper level low that lead snow showers (rain showers for Massachusetts) and a long stretch of cloudy weather, but the days went above 40°F. Cold morning on April 1st though

I climbed Mt. Washington on April 8. Was cloudy and in the mid to upper 20s on the summit. Trailhead at 2900 feet went maybe mid 30s that day.

Today has been a rather active day weather-wise. Had some strong storms earlier with lots of lightning, heavy rain, and wind and it looks like another squall line will make its way through here too. Was really humid before the storm came through, DP went up to 73 F.

Whats coming up... according to the Euro12z...

Looks active and seesaw. I can't cover every area so try to figure it out with the maps..

4 maps...

1. Friday morning April 1st.

Warm Thursday and Warm Rains Friday in the East ahead of the front.
Storm cuts to the great lakes the day before and heads to Canada. (snow there in Quebec).
PV starts to drop towards Quebec.
Cold starts pouring into the U.S.

2. Sunday morning April 3rd. Tricky!

Where will the Arctic Front stop? Euro says there.
Also shows a Clipper gone wild and a snow event in New England. Mountains going to get even more snow. Apparently Stowe in Vermont got 4-6" last night(3/29).

I don't know if the snows will be Sunday or Monday night. Could be both!
With Arctic air around and Spring time we could see some instability snow squalls around anywhere north of D.C

Either way, Cold north of Richmond.

Cold doesn't last long. Moderates starting Tuesday..

3. Thursday April 7th.

Just seasonable with rain showers around in the East. But what the heck is that?????

4. Friday April 8th.

Again??? Polar Vortex visits Quebec again and digs a trough all the way down into the South. Cold is coming back.

We'll see. This shows the mountains in Tennessee getting some light snow showers. Rain in the East as another Arctic front comes through!

2 Very Cold Weekends in a row?

Looks like we could get another wind event on Sunday. Tricky yet very interesting things going on Sunday and Monday. Arctic Cold. High Winds. Snow? It's gonna feel like winter, watch.

Euro12z Wind Gusts Sunday. This is in knots. So figure 45-55mph its says for CT
