Just Fascinating. Temps at 9000 feet. That's impressive to see it below freezing that far south! See next pic why

Upper Level Low over Mexico! This is generating the Flooding in Texas/Louisiana because you can see the flow pumping right to them.

And now the ridge is centered over the Eastern U.S and that's why today is the warmest day of the week.

We will have a downslope effect here today off the mountains

Snowfall

Wow, warmer here today than in LA, San Fran, and San Diego. I swear you will never see anything like this ever again! So watch it, drink it in

Usually when one side is cold, the other is warm. Definitely true when the pattern is Amplified as we have now.

On that note... HRRR model saying widespread low 80s. Cant be. Local yes, widespread? Lets see.

Woah, it's a bit too early for 80s for my taste. I prefer 60s in March, and 70s in April

Next two days in Mexico City are forecast to only reach 58°F. 39°F tomorrow morning there. Mexico City is to the south of the center of that upper level low. Not that familiar with Mexico, but the mountains underneath of the upper level low may be getting snow right now.

Less ice means Lakes will warm up quicker this spring. Less "cooler by the lake" influence for the city of Chicago

8-14 day bullseye over the Northeast, but pretty much most east of the Rockies should see greater chance of above average temps.

Models backing off of rain here.

Already in the low 60's at 9AM. Probably will over perform again today
