This is why I love New York City so much, it's like a completely different climate from the rest of the Northeast
Not going above 80 F in July is pretty unusual in the NE, but it's still better than not going below 66 F all of December like last year. Imagine not going above 65 F all of June..

Last time with this long of a stretch was 14 months ago.

April 2016 had 12 days in a row below normal
June 2015 had 13
March 2015 had 15
Feb 2015 had 23

Good job on finding those numbers! It's crazy, right

If it doesn't reach above average in the next two days then I think we will easily blow past Feb 2015, since the rest of the week looks markedly below normal

My summer sees an a average high of less than 73F and gets 39F in the majority of summer months. I can't think of anyone disappointed with summer here.

But you guys have mild winters without any snow, it balances out. Whenever we have a snowy winter it just makes me crave even hotter weather in the summer

What about not going above 60f in the first ten days of May? Because that's what's happening right now

That's kind of my theory as well - hot summers usually seem more important to people in cold climates, than to people in mild climates.

I would be very disappointed if we didn't even see 80f, and then had a low of 39f!

I think so too. When I went to Lima it was sort of around 26-28c the entire time during the day and I didn't really want it to be any warmer than that especially because of the humidity. I think if Lima had less humidity it would be the perfect "Eternal Spring" climate, like Tegucigalpa

That's not as bad. Even 50s are a better break from cold weather than lows in the 70s are from hot weather. I can understand why you're disappointed but it can always be worse.

You and me in the same boat lol. I think this would be unfathomable even in Moscow, each summer month gets at least a few days above 26c! Damn I wish there was some kind of online source for historical Moscow temperatures so I could compare it to upstate NY
