Feels like someone froze time, since the trees haven't gotten any greener since late April! Parts of Upstate NY looked like they barely had any trees at all, especially by the PA border

I honestly prefer summer to mid-to-late spring. At least summer has many more thunderstorms and rainy weather. Mid-to-late spring is drought prone and the strong sun angle is more of a shock this time of year so it feels hot as **** anyways. Just yawn-inducing weather.

The best time in NYC is September-October. This year October was average in NYC and the weather was still beautiful, especially with the goldened trees. In some areas of NYC when people don't rake the leaves it looks like something out of a fantasy novel with entire streets painted in leaves

Spring in NYC could be really crappy because you never know what you will get. The past few years are a reminder that you can get very unpleasantly low temperatures even in May and even a couple of weeks into June

And it will be unsettled for the Northeast/Southeast and lower Midwest next week

I love seeing scenes like that whenever I go visit four season climates. I bet when I move to MN I'll see lots of scenes like that.

I feel the same way but the opposite season for the opposite reason. We can still get ridiculously warm and muggy weather even into November and December. Those two months seemed like constant highs of 80-85 F and lows of 70-75 F last year.

I have sun with highs in the 60s and a couple 70s for the next 7 days. Maybe worse in upstate NY but here, while a bit below average compared to recent spring weather, this is great.

I guess it's an upside to living in a four season climate. Also the cherry tree blossoming in April in Central Park is very beautiful. I heard it's even better in Washington DC
