What sucks that those places aren't cities. I mean, a person can't realistically move there and make a living, and have grocery stores to shop at, etc.

It's gonna be funny to hear me bitching about the lack of snow in Syracuse after I'm able to move there, but it's gonna happen. When it comes to snow, it's never, ever enough.

Of course you can make a living... plowing the roads or working at ski resorts.

Yeah, this whole event is not very widespread and not for low elevations too much. Im sure snow will fall in some towns and roads people use on the mountains but most of the decent accumulations I think is in the mountains

Nice map you can see where the heavier stuff will be. Although I though Mt Rainer and vicinity had warnings and feet of snow coming. This map doesn't show it.

Nope, no winter storm warning for Rainier. Focus of storm appears to be aimed at California and then goes northeast, so the Washington Cascades don't get much snow. Only a few inches are forecast for Paradise on the slope of Rainier.

This animation shows where the storm is hitting

Some snowfall damage reports in Elko County, Nevada. Powerpoles down, large tree limbs, snow falling off roofs and blocking doorways. And 22" of snow at Wildhorse.
