Pretty crazy. I believe NWS forecasting 6-12". They are getting an early start to winter for sure.

I think they might be close to breaking entire month of Septembers record. Have to check tomm.

Canadian model snowfall total next 5 days..

Talk about a turn of events. They went from 60s everyday to below normal 40s since Sept 11th and snow.

Fairbanks most September snow total was
24.4" Sept 1992
7.8" 1972
7.5" 1993
7.1" 1996
6.7" 2015

So they need 1.2" to enter 2nd most. Won't be breaking 1992's record. Wow

Hmmm. Is the Sept 1992 snow total an error? I didnt actually check Nowdatas data.

7-12" forecasted now and that would make this month the snowiest on record if that 24" is an error. I assume it is based on the huge gap between that and 2nd snowiest

Cold rain is coming to Denver this weekend, after a record warm September. But no snow or freezing temps predicted.

Seeing 8-13 inches of snowfall reports. Power is out in some areas and was still snowing after these reports which was from yesterday evening.

Over 8" at the airport as of yesterday and still snowing now

Nice to see Alaska living up to its name again. Lol. Feels like they been in a cold snow drought.

And here ya go...another rare event.. The 11.5" yesterday was a daily record AND Fairbanks never had this much snow in a 24hr period in September. I also believe its the most for the entire month with over 15 inches now.

Past few winters have been mild in Alaska - maybe this year will prove different?
