DC & anyone in its path will see some snow with the arctic front. It will be broom type powder snow. The kind that moves around with wind from a car...or a fast runner. Lol

Prime radiational cooling night here. Coast is going to be much cooler than the Airport tonight, particularly from Pinecrest to Turkey Point. We'll see about here.

Surprise snowfall here this evening. A nice, fresh coating of snow. Road's been whitened. With the extra cold weather the next few days, a lot of it should hopefully remain.

Snowing over the Atlantic Ocean off Maryland, Delaware and NJ right now. Lexington getting some snow again. Lake effect continues. I got light snow outside. Fine like dust.

Wilmington, NC didn't get out of the 30s today, and has a forecast high in the 30s tomorrow and Sunday as well. In a place that had an average high of 71F in December.

The Arctic Front is now moving slower than anticipated. WHAT ELSE IS NEW WITH FRONTS that approach us?

You can see from the temp map how cold it is behind it. 20-30 below normal.

POLAR LOW CONTINUES TO DESCEND INTO THE NORTHEAST THROUGH TONIGHT
WITH A SHORT LIVED BUT DANGEROUS TO POTENTIALLY LIFE THREATENING
ARCTIC INTRUSION TODAY INTO SUN.


TREND HAS BEEN SLIGHTLY SLOWER WITH ARCTIC FRONTAL
PASSAGE...KNOCKING ON DOOR OF NW ZONES AROUND 12Z...AND THEN PASSING
EAST THROUGH THE MORNING.


MAIN STORY IS THE ARCTIC INTRUSION IN WAKE OF THIS ARCTIC FRONT WITH
NW WINDS OF 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 45 MPH. POTENTIAL FOR
