Now that is devotion. Woman jogging.

It's actually not bad out at 6 degrees. I'm not wearing anything different either. no coat, no scarf and no gloves since I'm driving. Jeans and hooded sweatshirt. Feels awesome. Give me this everyday for 3 months!

roads and stores are packed. Ugh. Roses are red, Vortex is blue

Will try running later but I think thats stupid. Probably be too tensed up?

Cambium, What's that site you use to compare temperatures/precip over a certain period of time? Ex: 1/21-2/6 was the 6th coldest in the period of record.

Like I've said before running in -15 or -20C is no big deal with just a sweatshirt and some long pants. I've ran in those temps on several occasions. Activity warms up your body quite well.

Hell, I've seen people running in -30C with -40C wind chills in Lake Placid, with proper gear of course. Nothing stupid about it as long as you know your limits and have experience in those temps.

Anyways, currently -35F on Mount Washington. Feels like -76. Will it break -40 tonight? Can't wait to find out

Oh that is not good to already be in single digits. We are sitting at 16F at the airport here, and my back deck in town is at 15F. Strange that the airport is warmer than the urban center, but they are right on the river.

7pm Polar Vortex Update. Definitely getting stretched now. It's at the furthest south most. Wow at the blues(-25C) down to the Long Island Sound!

850mb temps

Surface Temps

NYC now 9°. Plenty of time to go.

Wind Chills. Sub Zero North of Philly.

This software only has a -50° max wind chill reading. Mount Washington feels like -72.3°F.
