NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE NEW YORK NY
404 PM EST MON DEC 14 2015

GENERAL AGREEMENT THAT THIS TROUGH FINALLY MOVES OVERHEAD AND THEN
EAST FOR THE WEEKEND WITH A PROLONGED PERIOD OF CAA IN THE WAKE OF
THE COLD FRONT FRIDAY NIGHT INTO SAT NIGHT. THIS SHOULD SPELL A
RETURN TO SEASONABLE OR SLIGHTLY BELOW SEASONABLE TEMPS FOR THE
WEEKEND. PERHAPS SOME INSTABILITY SNOW SHOWERS/FLURRIES FRI NIGHT
INTO SAT NIGHT
WITH COLD POOL LIFT/INSTABILITY.

Has anyone noticed that the positive and negative height anomalies are almost completely reversed over the lower 48 so far this season? The Pacific Northwest has done well with snowfall. In fact Mt. Rainier was forecasted to have about 12 feet of snow in a one week period last week. Last year they had a blowtorch most of the winter season, extending down to California.

Just as ****ing usual, the forecast has ****ing upgraded. We had 69/57 predicted for Saturday originally, and now it's up to 72/64. How ****ing predictable. I need to get out of here.

Yeah, S. Florida basically got ****ed. A north wind that quickly turns northeast. Hate that maritime flow.

Thankfully the NW flow is still prevalent in Georgia and the northern half of Florida. Savannah is still forecast to drop into the 30s both Friday and Saturday night.

Perhaps I should take a short trip up north to see some cold. Seriously, it's coming down to that.

I think I'm the absolute worst person to live in a climate like Miami. I hate anything resembling warmth anytime past October 1 or so.

It's crazy but not really. We've seen this all the time except it feels weird because the West was stuck for years with it. now we got it. Typically gets amplified in the winter so now that we're in, it's getting more extreme. Snow in Mexico, no snow in Buffalo still or Albany and warm as hell.

Check this out ... So we all know currently theres a strong storm that is over the Great lakes (what else is new lately!) but here's the next 36hrs... That main storm is transferring to a new storm off the Maine coast into Nova Scotia. So Another round of snow for Northern Maine.

Typically a transfer off the Mid Atlantic coast would generate a NorEaster (snowstorms).. this transfer is so far north it's not funny. but maybe its a start!?
