Why on earth would you be using A/C when you can just open the window?

Exactly, apart from the fact that 60F is hardly warm, what on earth is the point in having a/c on in December when you could open a window? It's not even warm enough outside to heat up indoors that much..

We certainly still have our heating on even though we are averaging 14C/10C this month so far

It's been quite a mild December here as well, but my heating still kicks on every night. No way is it warm enough to warrant A/C.

I've sweated in the 50s, if I'm really active. Nowhere as noticeable as warmer, regardless of activity. I've also sweated when it's 30°F out, but that meant I was active but overdresed.

As I keep repeating to everyone (maybe you missed it), When there is no breeze it literally has to be in the 30s outside to cool off the room with a window. I don't want to wait all night or hours!! I need that cold breeze and quick injection of cold. Why is that so hard to understand for some? (not you).

Upper 60s inside, 50s outside & no wind. I have a circulating fan always on that doesn't fit in the window and I'm not going to get up in the middle of the night. A/C is on a thermostat auto on and off.. Easy, Quick, Cold. I don't get people who think window is enough OR like to wake up to close it because it got too cold.

I have new windows. New Insulation which keeps the rooms stuffy. A/C will be on again tonight. You think an open window now will help? It will only air the room out and keep it in the 60s, I wont feel that quick injection of cold later!

It's called being active. I'm not a mannequin like some heat lovers are. I don't like to stay still. I was doing landscaping stuff which that alone is depressing to say in December but T-Shirt and Jeans & in the sun which was 70°F+! It's December also, my skin has gotten used to normal which is in the damn 40s..not 60s so it's VERY warm! I've hiked in the 30s and was sweating.

YES.. I'm on edge!!!! .

MAY ... JUNE ... JULY ... AUGUST ... SEPTEMBER .. OCTOBER .... NOVEMBER .... now DECEMBER ...!!

If I see someone complain about 2 months of winter I will have to rant again
