July 2015 dawns cool here while Europe and the American West broil; July 4th weekend to bring warming to Chicago | Chicago Weather Center: Skilling's Forecast and Chicago Severe Weather Alerts

^^

Yes, those are HIGH temperature from Chicago's Northshore suburbs. The high was actually 15C/59F in Kenilworth
My suburb reached 73F/23C as we are farther from the cooling effects of Lake Michigan. Still abysmal, suicidal for summer.

It's July now and they're making a graphic about HUMID 65° dewpoints

At least here we're getting thunderstorms often.

That's how bad it's been here as of late. We've had like 15 days with dew points of 70+, and now it's been in the 40's!

Something promising

Flash Flood Watches in much of New Mexico.

NWS Albuquerque:

* A VERY MOIST AND UNSTABLE ATMOSPHERE ALONG WITH STRONG AFTERNOON
HEATING WILL LEAD TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF NUMEROUS SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING. THIS ACTIVITY WILL
MOVE SLOWLY SOUTHWARD OVER THE AREA AND PRODUCE LOCALLY HEAVY
RAINFALL...INCREASING THE THREAT FOR FLASH FLOODING.

* WILDFIRE BURN SCAR AREAS AND URBAN DRAINAGE BASINS WILL BE THE
MOST SUSCEPTIBLE TO FLASH FLOODING THROUGH THIS EVENING. A FEW
AREAS MAY RECEIVE UP TO 1.5 INCHES OF RAIN...WITH EVEN HIGHER
AMOUNTS POSSIBLE WHERE STORMS REPEATEDLY IMPACT THE SAME AREA.

This morning's low was 54F where I am. Coolest morning since I got here.

That is awesome.

It would be pretty close to a monthly record back home!

It looks like the metro was among the coolest in the entire country today:
