No leaves yet here in Upstate South Carolina, but there are several white blooms, oh and on the few 80+ degree days, GIANT BEES!

Sweet; I'll probably have to wait over a month still to see those blossoms around here! I love when warm days like that happen in March, even moreso than when they happen in May or June, just because they're unexpected and spontaneous. Though it's been since 2012 here that we've had a 70+ day in March

Kentucky... Normal vs Flood. Is there still flooding going on after the snow melt? Man we are getting lucky here. Phew!

today was more typical of a day in early mid may. that hornet was huge for this time of year! I prefer march and April to be like this every day but with higher humidity and thunderstorms. I doubt you will have to wait more than a month to get those blossoms though I say any where from 3 to 4 weeks at most also are there any signs of spring in the northeast guys? like crocuses for instance. or at least some trees with buds? well I hope next winter will go easier on us.

I want to go outside to see how it compares with my experiences on Mt. Lafayette (and Mt. Tom)

...NORTHWEST WIND GUSTS OF 50 TO 60 MPH THIS EVENING MAY RESULT
IN SOME TREE DAMAGE...ISOLATED POWER OUTAGES AND EVEN A FEW ROAD
CLOSURES...

A STRONG COLD FRONT WAS WORKING THROUGH THE REGION. NORTHWEST WIND
GUSTS OF 45 TO 60 MPH WERE OCCURRING ACROSS SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND
EARLY THIS EVENING. WHILE IT WILL REMAIN RATHER WINDY
OVERNIGHT...THE STRONGEST WINDS WILL OCCUR THROUGH 8 PM WHEN
BRIEF GUSTS UP TO 60 MPH WILL BE POSSIBLE. THIS MAY RESULT IN SOME
TREE DAMAGE....ISOLATED POWER OUTAGES AND EVEN ROAD CLOSURES.
PLEASE USE CAUTION IF HEADED OUT THIS EVENING.

Less than 1.50 inches of liquid equivalent precipitation in Madison so far this year. Any sign of a pattern shift that will produce more rain and snow in the Upper Midwest?
