Friday...while the models are still indicating a coastal storm will
develop off the North Carolina coast early Friday...they differ
quite a bit on the track of this storm. They range from tracking
over the 40/70 benchmark /bringing a decent slug of rain/snow to
southern New England/ to well outside the benchmark
/little to nothing over southern New England. This is a very low
confidence forecast right now. The likely solution is somewhere in
the middle which would still bring a period of rain/snow to much of
southern New England.

Gees. Enjoy.

March usually the up and down month for us here. Not many "up" days and....

Euro shows snow again too Friday-Saturday.. And says we struggle past 20s on Sunday, struggle past 30s Monday and dip into low teens at night. Just for 2 nights.

Liquid amounts being shown range from 0.25-0.50 so no big deal snow "right now".

This time of year u always have to wonder about coastal storms brining in more precip then being shown 5 days out.

NWS Philly.. Everyone got an eye on this storm coming. The front and freezing line will be south and east enough for many areas to see snow, just a matter of details including storm track!

Storm is happening... Just don't know what track it will take

NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MOUNT HOLLY NJ
552 AM EDT MON MAR 16 2015

IT IS WORTHY TO HIGHLIGHT THE POTENTIAL FOR A PERIOD OF
WINTRY PRECIP, INCLUDING SNOW, THAT WOULD MOST LIKELY OCCUR AT THE
ONSET LATE THURSDAY NIGHT/FRIDAY MORNING BEFORE ENOUGH WARM AIR GETS
DRAWN NORTHWARD FOR RAIN FOR THE REST OF THE EVENT. STAY TUNED...

Euro12z Snow Totals. From my experience, this time of year, with this kind of setup..

The only accumulations will come in higher elevations of WV, VA, Maryland. North of Philly, eastern PA, northern NJ, and NYC north anything is possible this time of year still.

Still 5 days out. Plenty of time for details

Euro says a couple inches from West Virginia to MA. THIS IS NOT A BIG STORM

Now THATS what I call torch in March. Remember this mornings 850mb temp map I showed and where that pocket of warmth up there was? Boom as it shifted south during the day a bit.

80s in Kansas, Nebraska & Iowa is 30-40 above normal right now. Could this be the Summer theme for Central US???

There's even a couple 90s showing up like Wayne Nebraska

I really hope so. Otherwise, I'll probably have to wait another 8-9+ months to see any more snow.
