Now THATS what I call torch in March. Remember this mornings 850mb temp map I showed and where that pocket of warmth up there was? Boom as it shifted south during the day a bit.
80s in Kansas, Nebraska & Iowa is 30-40 above normal right now. Could this be the Summer theme for Central US???
There's even a couple 90s showing up like Wayne Nebraska
90s! We haven't even recorded 90s in March, record high is 88F.
The two northernmost counties in Norway have set new all-time high temperature records for March the last days.
13C in Sørkjosen, Troms (69 47 N, 20 57 E) yesterday - old record 12.8C from Skibotn in March 24 2007.
And today 13C in Banak /Lakselv (70 03 N, 24 58 E) in Finnmark county. This is in mid-month, the sun is significantly stronger in late March up there.
Looks like Dodge City has joined the 90 degree club (Gross. Stay away from me ya damn heat ). Not as impressive, as the record high for March is 98F.
