You and me both. Especially after two really lame summers in a row (at least here they were). My gut is telling me that this summer in the Midwest will resemble 2010 or 2011. Both were acceptable for my tastes Let's see if I'm right.

Ridge begins to build this Friday

By Monday the jet flattens well to the north which really resembles a summer pattern.

Could enter a warm stormy period for the start of May

So I been outside for past couple hours in shorts and all of a sudden I felt a chill. (felt great!) The chill wasn't stopping. I knew the temp dropped. BUT Wow!

Was mid 70s at 4:30pm. 50s now . Danbury still 72! 40 min North of me.

17 degrees in 1 hour! Winds turned from the East and BOOM down we went. Humidity and dewpoints went up .

It's been cool and cloudy here past few days, highs in the low 70sF and today only about 69F! Both Weather Channel and Wunderground show a low on May 2nd of 49F, which is very close to the daily record low, 48F. After a cool start to May, it looks like mid-upper 80sF make their comeback next week.

Anything resembling 2010, 11, or 12 here would do. I need the rehabilitation after 2014's disappointment and Feb-Mar 2015. I can't wait until next week.

I just glanced at the thermometer and it read 52F, it was in the 70's the last time I looked at it (about an hour ago).

I would be elated. With the still moist ground it should be like 2011!

I think we are exact twins in terms of weather preferences.

I hope it's nothing like 2011 here!

I'm somewhat optimistic that this summer will have a decent amount of thunderstorms.

Last summer was WEAK, my fan just sat in the corner of the room collecting dust. I think I only turned it on three or four times the entire summer! This year I want blistering heat, the type where you can go to the beach every single day and turn golden

Me too that was pretty awful! Here it was moderately hot and very humid just the way I like it. Many days hitting upper 70s dewpoint but the temperature never went above 94F.
