A nightmarish midsummer-like low of 75F tomorrow night...ties the record warmest March min temp.
Overcast skies, cold rain, and highs in the upper 50s expected here with snow levels down to 3,500 feet. After the cold front leaves and skies clear, we could see frost down to sea level in some of the valleys. I bet the "hottest temperature in the L.A metro area" will be barely above 60 for the next few days.

Don't you ever get cool days that are sunny? Last Thursday's high of 55F here coincided with completely clear skies. I looked at the Downtown L.A. forecast and it said the coolest low was only 49F.

In L.A, cold= clouds and rain most of the time but sometimes, there will be a couple of days after the cold front leaves, it will be partly cloudy or mostly sunny with highs in the 50s. I'm not in downtown L.A; I'm in Mission Viejo which gets colder nights and larger diurnal ranges.

Lowest for Mission Viejo is 46F, not much difference. No highs in the 50s either...lowest is 63F.
It seems like the polar vortex is starting to move west. For the sake of the mental hospitals in the Northeast, I hope it stays that way!
