Bleak day today. Cloudy all day, temperatures hovering in the mid to upper 10s.

February stats for 18 locations with 3 days left.

There's been no month colder than this one in Buffalo since 1874. . So yeah, nobody alive today experienced a month this cold for many areas.

Never been a month this cold in Bangor, Bridgeport, Buffalo, Hartford, Islip, & Syracuse too!

NYC 4th coldest February but there were 9 other months colder.

Even Roanoke Virginia having their 4th coldest February on record since 1912.

Albany 2nd coldest February, 3rd coldest month since 1874

You can pretty much pick a site from Maine to Alabama and you'll find mostly they are in Top 15 coldest February.
Even by Chicago standards, this month has been absolute hell.

Even if you consider Baltimore's Inner Harbor station, this February, at 26.8F thru yesterday, would rank as 4th-coldest. The harbor and Chesapeake Bay have been frozen for some time, which has removed some moderating influence. Even D.C./National is currently coming in at 14th all-time for February thru yesterday, making it the coldest Feb since 1979 and coldest month since Jan 1994. Incredible

Heavy snowfall in Marburg, Germany. Looks really beautiful. Too bad I don't have a camera here.

Only a lousy one, my phone is quite old and not smart.

Btw: the snow will not last long, it's already thawing.

Wow look at that snow falling in Texas again!

Current temps & Radar. Heavy snow outlined for Texas 1-1.5" per hr rates. Snow will make it to Arkansas & dissipate. Lubbock snow and temps in the teens!

Lubbock has seen snow 4 of the last 6 days. Screen shot from their site.. http://www.srh.weather.gov/lub/?n=events-2015-20150223-ice
