Spring Storm underway.

Here's an easy way to see and understand what happens.

Storms always spin counter clockwise.

Here's a look at the mid levels (5000 feet) temps and winds. Notice the "push" of air from the south on the East side of storm and the warm 11°C temps above Mid Atlantic & NYC which is helping make the surface warm as well.

The north push down on the West side is bringing the 0°C down to Texas and close to Gulf states. Notice how it's staying below freezing in New England hence why its snowing there.

Also add the fact that you have an Arctic High SoouthWest of Hudson Bay which spins clockwise helping drain cold air down.

Had this particular storm exited VA or been 300 miles SE of where it is now, PA/NJ/CT/MA and the coast would be seeing a ton of snow. It's all about location of storm, not so much the Calendar.

It will be in the 40's during the early AM hours, midday will be below freezing though. The iPhone's weather app is showing 45/19, which is accurate, but misleading.

Forecast to drop to -10F tonight, so we'll see how low it does plummet. Going to be clear skies tonight so that will aid in the daytime heating loss.

Obviously. I said it was for one day.

Are you trying to argue something, make a point or just restate the obvious?
