Severe warned thunderstorm just left Orlando, now bearing down on Kissimmee.

"Frequent to excessive lightning" according to the statement. Generally moving south.

Muggy Memorial Day afternoon in Chicago. Live webcam

near drought busting rains for Texas this week

Honestly, other than California and the southwest, I don't see any significant drought anywhere else in the US this summer, and by the fall, rains will arrive in Cali as El Nino kicks in

MDW squeezed out a 90 degree (32.2C) temps today. So did a bunch of suburbs. Scattered storms this evening. Not a washout by any means. Just got to dodge a few the next couple of hours

I will when I can, but I won't always be where the is internet and electricity. Parts of the trip I will be camping in the mountains far from civilization.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms dot the radar at 6:40PM with downpours & some lightning. Severe weather is NOT expected.

Plenty of wet cool weather over much of Europe over the course of the next seven days
