Over 3/4ths of the nation has been below average since October 1st.
My crop looks like it normally does early May. WTF. Cloudy, cool, rainy, windy, dry.... the warm-ups in between aren't enough. My high yesterday was 57° . That's near where the normal low is. People were bundled up and had the heat on.
Max temps yesterday.
How about a look at the last 7 days and 7 days before that... WOW. JET STREAM FLIP FLOP
Note we've actually been just above average in both those maps.
Yup and the entire coast of the west as well. But look at the flip from Rockies/Plains to Great Lakes/Southeast.
Also good to note and ask yourself why we've been slightly or above normal.. Only 6 times above normal with the max so far. Look at the lows. That's the reason the mean will be above this month.
Crops need daytime sun and warmth and we haven't gotten it here. Pretty normal as far as temps go but thanks to the lows we'll be above normal.
