Sounds normal. Tis the season. At least you are on top of it and want get one like hit Galveston way back when. Don't remember the year but around 1900 I think. From what I'm seeing on the NHC site looks like a little cooler weather may get to you now.

64F here right now and nearly all of our 90s for highs were recorded about 2 months ago.

When will you decide if you're going to leave the city and travel north? I guess you have a while to think about it and see what it does, but sometimes they don't do as predicted. Just another nuisance in regard to Texas weather.

We're not going to leave, yes unfortunately they can change at the last minute as we found out with Rita in 2005 and we ended up in the eye of the storm!

Had glorious weekend weather, too, but I didnt post. Was in the lower 80s with low-to-moderate humidity levels and nice sunshine. Was very nice!

You're brave. I'd hightail it out of there so fast, but I've never even been near a hurricane so I guess if you're used to them, you know what you're doing.
