According to the weather channel it is. Rained some earlier. Clouds must be trapping heat being released from the ground and lakes?

Exactly . Which is why I hate cloudy nights!! They are a thermal layer in the nighttime.....think about it as a "blanket" keeping the temperature warm

Cloudy would be ok if they are producing rain. When not a bummer except in January maybe.

Yes....I don't mind cloud and rain. But if it's just a blanket over us keeping in the warmth and humdity......then it's not good.
