A balmy 88-90, humid degrees in Chicagoland today, mostly sunny. Call me sick, but I dont think it feels that bad? Perhaps its not as hot as they forecasted? Its definitely pretty sticky and warm though. Maybe my summer trip to AZ last June forever altered my perception of "hot"? lolol

Steveo-o, if it stays that way next week in Chicagoland, I'll feel right at home. I'm heading up there (my original home) from Greenville, South Carolina, where it's sunny and 88 right now but has been in the 90s much of this past month. Somehow, it always felt more humid in summer in Chicago, though. I was surprised.

I'm loving the weather today~except for the wind. Our wind gusts are about 30 mph.

Just HAD to post again because I noticed that it hit 94 degrees with a heat index of 101. That's the hottest it's been this season. A bit later the temp was 95, but the head index had gone down. I think the winds blew it away.

Jammie - You are warmer than me today!
Currently 88 with a heat index of 92.
Air is still rather juicy with another chance of rain and storms this evening.
An area s/e of Phoenix reported an 89 mph wind gust in last nights storms and unofficial rain totals of 3 to 4" -more than half a years worth!!

Gah....I can't take it! How does anyone like a heat index 7 degrees above the temperature, it was like that here yesterday and I was sweating buckets. Whoever coined the phrase "to each his own" sure was a genius.

Yea, we get extremely cold in the winter so a lot of people don't realize that it gets a bit toasty here a few days in the summertime. I'd take days like yesterday any time over winter~I actually enjoyed it.

It's a beautiful 62 degrees this morning. We were supposed to get down into the 50s, but I don't think it made it down that far. It's the weather fluctuations that I don't care for, but life is good for me in the summertime.

I believe I heard the weatherman say that it's down in the 40s out in the Hills. They're 3 and a half hours west of me.
