We hit 86 today at my house, down to 84 now. That is the highest this Summer so far. Plus we are getting our town back slowly today. There has been a steady line of vehicles headed South and town is emptying out once again. Taking the boys to the beach after supper, then it is off to school with them tomorrow morning .

Right now in Dallas, it is 81 degrees and very cloudy. Hurricane Gustav is moving towards the Dallas area and we are starting to see clouds from it.

It's nice and warm here today~well above average. It's 86 with a heat index of 89. Humidity 53% and dewpoint 67%. The winds are roaring again at 21 to 37 mph and they're supposed to pick up this afternoon. Severe storms are possible and then the big cool down.
That's what wunderground said. Ugh!

I found this on USA Today......... The dew point temperature, which is based on how much water vapor is in the air, is a good measure of how humid it feels. A dew point above 70°F is quite humid. Very high dew points are often found near shallow, subtropical seas. Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, on the Persian Gulf, recorded a dew point of 95°F on July 8, 2003. (Alphaman was quite correct). In the USA, the highest dew points (above 80°F) occur near the Gulf of Mexico and in parts of the upper Mississippi Valley.

Canine, that is just unreal, isn't it? I like it to be a bit humid and warm, but wow!!!

We definitely hit 92 today and the heat index was 95. That's the highest that I saw it. It's nearly 11 pm and has finally cooled off to 77. We have a lot of rain around us and the temps just west of us have dropped tremendously, but no rain for us YET. Oh never mind~it just dropped to 72 now.
