Personally, I would much rather it be sunny, hot, dry, lower humidity and breezy versus cloudy, cold, wet, higher humidity and no breeze. As you know it can often get into the 90s in WNC with much higher humidity and no breeze (compared to Dallas). Also, with the higher elevation of WNC the sun's intensity is also quite high. However, I do prefer the lower nighttime temperatures of WNC during the summer months. I'll actually sweat more in Asheville than in Dallas due to the higher humidity with no breeze. The key is staying out of the direct sun and finding shade...

I do not like cold. When it gets below 70 with cloud cover (or below 60 with the sun out) I'm looking for a much warmer climate.

Each to their own, but if I had to choose [just] one location over the other for its weather I'd personally take Dallas. As for most everything else related to the two cities, I would most definitely take Dallas over Asheville.

Maybe you should move! I have homes in both states and I much prefer Dallas (Plano) over WNC. Is there something that prevents you from moving to where you really want to live?

Yesterday we hit 86 degrees which is our exact average for the day.

Right now it's 80 degrees/feels like 81.

Humidity~53%

Dewpoint~62%

Windspeed~14 mph, but it appears that they will pick up.

We have a 30% chance of thunderstorms

Our expected high for today is 96. That would be our hottest day so far this summer. Instead of being 10 degrees below avg. we might be 10 deg. above avg.

Right now it is 94 degrees with a 64 degree dewpoint. We have a very good chance for storms the next couple of days. Todays high is expected to be 102 and only 94 tomorrow - our average high right now is 108. Hopefully we will get actual rain with the storms and not just wind and lightening.

84 but the heat index is 90. This is the worst humidity we've had all Summer and it feels awful The sun is out too which adds to that feeling. All this thanks to rain yesterday and sun today.
