I need AC if air temp. is higher than 28C for normal and 32C if I'm in fever.
Average daytime temperature is about 29-31 C and AC always set to 18. I set the automatic power off at 3am (temp. low - about 23-24C)
Should you turn on the AC, what is your preferred temperature? Mine is about 27 or 28c. About the same as outside, just with air flow and less muggy. Opening the window would only invite unwanted guests (*cough mosquitoes *cough).
If I set the AC temp >= (more than / equal) air temperature, the AC system will automatically turn on and off the outdoor machine. I think the "noise" might be quite annoying.

I do not have AC at home. When a house is weel conceived it doesn't need AC. You just to close the chutters to keep cool inside when it is too hot.
There is no need to cool a place to 20c. Under 28c there is no need to cool down the temperature. I dislike when in the US you are obliged to put a jacket on your shoulders each time you get indoor.
Yeah.. in summer even though it is not hot here, my indoor temperature is normally about 25C, and my room can get to 30C during hotter spells. We don't have a/c but I find it fine.
I hate it when it is nice and 25C outside but you go into a building and it is freezing with air con.. If I had it I would only use it if the temperature was above 32C/90F probably.
