I don't have A/C. However, at my workplace, it gets really warm, so we will often turn on the big fans on the ceiling. The main lobby has A/C which is on all the time and it feels downright cold.

in my house during the day we set it at 80f while we are gone so the energy bill won't get so high, and while i'm in the house we lower it to either 77 or 78f and at night we lower it to 75.

As to what temperature my house usually is.. 21C/70F is the standard temperature. The heating comes on once during the morning at 6am for an hour, then again at 6pm for an hour. My living room can exceed 26C/79F if the heating has been turned on all day, such as on a cold, wet or snowy day. The living room just keeps in heat like no other room in my house does. I absolutely detest it, and try not to keep the heating on for too long, even if it's cold. The feeling of being very warm or even hot indoors is worse than outdoors to me.

I don't have A/C. Shouldn't that be a choice?

For AC only

I have two zones. Zone 1 living room kitchen home office is set to 79.

Zone 2 bedrooms drops to 74 at 10PM and goes back up to 79 at 8AM.

Ceiling fans in every room. Big house 3,100 sq. Highest electric bill in 16 years was 206$

It's not cold by any means just comfortable. But when you walk in from the outside where the temp is 90 it does feel like a fridge.

I bet you have a few uncomfortable nights then! I find a fan just doesn't cut it on the warmest nights so I'd certainly struggle in your neck of the woods.
