Enjoying the cloudy weather and the temperatures haven't been too bad, but it's too warm and humid this morning. I'm ready for another blast of cool, dry air. Or it can remain damp and cloudy if the temperature would drop 10-20 F.

The forecast is a mixed bag. Temps are getting warmer, but there are some rainy and windy periods to get through:

Your autumn is our spring. I'm documenting the transition from winter to spring here which is taking a lot longer than I would like.

It would seem that the worst is yet to come with a bitter southerly change bringing strong winds and heavy rain. The low tommorow night is forecasted to be -1 C / 30 F with a daily high of 9 C / 48 F. The average low and high for this time of year is 6 C / 43 F and 16 C / 60 F, respectively, so tomorrow is exceptionally cold.

But yesterday was very nice -- high of 15 C / 59 F, sunny and calm. I didn't even need to turn my heater on last night!

It's currently calm, sunny and 15 C / 59 F and should be going for a high of 17 C / 63 F.

The southerly will come through this evening and ruin everything. I'm not looking forward to it, but it's nice to have some respite from the wintery conditions.

Forecast is nice and sunny for most of next week with temps reaching seasonal norms by the end of the week:

With that low of -1C tomorrow, is there any chance of some snow flurries mixing in with the rain overnight?

I doubt it. Queenstown further down south could see some snow though.

Temperatures are expected to reach the balmy heights of 25°C / 77°F here in the next few days, with overnight lows of 15°C / 59°F, very warm for late September in this part of the world, but certainly not unheard of.

No rain forecast at all either for the next fourteen days except early Monday. There's even talk of a 30°C / 86°F being broken somewhere in the South East.

We're getting the same pattern in New England. Except with lot more rain and less sun. Low was a very warm 68°F last night. Tonight is 67°F with 1-2 inches of rain. Normal night temps is 47°F. Predicted high of 84°F on Sunday.

First non-cloudy day in the forecast is next Thursday, though we'll probably get a few hours of sun here and there.

Blah. Too warm. It's about that warm here. Today is 77 F, Monday is forecasted to reach 79 F. Although far ahead, next Saturday is forecasted to be only 58 F. Hope it's accurate!
