pretty soon we'll have the same weather as the west coast
Well, our weather sucks because aside from snow, this last winter we basically had: 5 months of 30-45 degree cloudy, dreary, depressing weather, with high humidity (if you don't think it was humid, you don't understand humidity, slightly cold and humid = cold as crap)
While on the west coast winter they had: 5 months of 45-75 degrees, sunny, no chance EVER of snow, and no humidity
We will never be the west coast unfortunately, if we ever are, it means things have changed so drastically that the world has ended.

Partially agreed, DC area weather does suck in terms of how erratic and unpredictable it can be. but I would much rather take it over the consistently freezing cold climate of NYC/Philly/Boston etc.
SoCal style West Coast weather would be an absolute blessing anywhere.
I've never particularly thought of DC as a place that got much snow at all, so I don't see why people are complaining about it. Winters aren't like those even in NYC, where not having at least some significant accumulation is much more abnormal. The average January temperature in DC is 36 degrees with just 5.7 inches of snow monthly. That's pretty low.

That's true on average, but DC also gets blizzards about once every 6-7 years. And those are kind of nice to shake things up and shut them down.
dc is definitely in the geographical south but you can
still count on it getting pretty cold, even if it does not
snow. sometimes the snow warms the air up actually.
