I am new to the area and looking for a Church to attend, and would like suggestions. The last Church I attended and really learned a lot from is similar to one that I would like to attend in the DMV area. I am looking for a multi-cultural Church, with an emphasis on Black gospel music, a Pastor that knows the Bible, many ways for members to be involved and learn, and people can come as they are (meaning people can come in jeans or a dress/suit). It would be great for the Church to be metro accessible. Thank you for any suggestions. Thank you!
Hey if you find one please let me know. I have been living here for over 20 years and have not found one yet. I was going to St James AME but it was not multi-cultural and they do not embrace other cultures. To say the least it is hard to find a church in this area that you can feel comfortable in.
Check out All Souls, Unitarian on 16th St. in Columbia Heights near the Target. It's Unitarian Universalist, the minister is largely Christian, and has a diverse congregation and a gospel choir.
