Are winters getting windier in Washington, D.C.?

apparently winters have had more wind in the dc area recently-weather here is not terrible but with very humid and uncomfortable summers and cold windy winters i would say it is not good weather either (maybe mediocre is the word that comes to mind)

Dewpoints in DC over the year | west north

this chart probably explains why dc summers tend to be quite uncomfortable

Would hitting 100 degrees in Washington D.C. this week be unusual?

Another interesting article on hot DC summers

While I much prefer skiing the Rockies, it's unfair the claim we have nothing worth skiing. I think Blue Knob in PA and Snowshoe in WV are worth the trip. Blue Knob is spartan, but the mountain is quite decent. None of it stacks up to Taos, but that's a days travel to even get there.

For those of you enjoying these type winters with little snow all i can say is enjoy it while you can because once the AMO flips and we go back to more -NAO winters the colder and snowier winters will be back. FYI.. See 2009-10 for a -NAO winter. NOT saying every winter will be like that but yeah there will be more of them and less of the past few winters.

Methinks the article (not the orginal poster) is part of the Climate Change Agenda. Three years does a pattern make? All the snow in 2009-2010 not that important?

If it snows more it's because of more moisiture caused by global warming. If it snows less it's because it's warmer and there's global warming.

Sometimes global warming can make it cooler....Let's call it climate change.
