Yes Chandigarh "The City Beautiful".
It is one of the first Planned City of India. After partition of India, the original capital of Punjab Province - Lahore went to Pakistan. So government of India deputed American architect Albert Mayer and Polish Matthew Nowicki to design the new capital. Mayer left after Nowicki died in 1950. Then Le Corbusier was appointed.
Massive Concrete buildings have been built there and this pic is from Capital Complex which houses various Government Buildings.
I visited the city as a child. It is so different from other crowded Indian cities- greenery, parks everywhere along with colossal Concrete structures.

Midcentury planned cities are quite fascinating in general. Not a fan of Le Corbusier but his work is certainly thought provoking.

Up next...

Balneário Camboriú, Brazil? It looks like a place I’d want to visit, after digging out from our recent snow event... (And also not a fan of the Brutalist stuff from the last post as well...too “cold” for my blood).

Not Brazil. I certainly see the resemblance.

It, and the Aquarium in Valencia, are still on my places to visit list in that area. I find the range of geographies in Iberia fascinating, as well as the parallels I see in Latin America. Ok, here’s next...
