I read that Canadians can't vote... However I remember I was voting for Jordin Sparks a couple of years ago, it did go through... I never tried this year, but will try to vote on Tuesday.

He is definitely original, no one can argue that. I still haven't heard any one convince me that his talent will translate to success - beyond the 1st idol record.
I listen to a wide array of music (basically anything but Country.) I started listening to the Doors, Led Zeppelin, the Stones, etc at the age of 7. Have loved music ever since and stay current with the music trends as they unfold; mainly to give everything a chance and see if I enjoy listening to it. Why does this matter? I'm not claiming to be talent scout or a producer, just a fan of music.
Now to compare him to Elvis and Michael Jackson is little premature, don't you think? Currently, he's a gifted competitor on a talent show. Slow down a little bit.
I don't find the fact that he can do covers of other artists overly exciting. Isn't that what the show is? No one sings - or writes for that matter - their own music. So yes, Kris and Danny can sing covers.
I hope he does well "blazing his path" as you say. He is an amazing talent. I just don't think he will have the success and become this icon that many of you think.
