And this week's episode was actually kind of 'meh'....inspite of all the action that they had in it.
Also, I had read that they've been trying to downplay the 'Inhumans' storyline on the show with Ghost Rider and now the LMDs... but frankly, I think that the Inhumans are the best thing that happened to "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D."
Additionally, this is television...
AND THEY REALLY NEED TO FIND A WAY TO BRING BACK BOBBI AND HUNTER!
Or else, I fear that this show might get cancelled.
Maybe they intend for Mac and Yoyo to be the new Bobbi and Hunter.
Well, we finally got to see what Mace's big secret was... which is that he's a fake.
Also, I'm now starting to wonder if what Ralph was saying about the Darkhold's effect on Aida might be right. Because she even surprised Dr. Radcliffe with some of her behavior in this week's episode and when she killed Agent Nathanson.
Plus, is it just me, or have the last two episodes since the Ghost Rider storyline ended, been lacking something? Because to be honest with you, the only thing that really got me excited about last week's episode was when Aida 1 got her head chopped off.

I think that Aida/Dr Ratcliff is the same as the Darkhold during the Ghost Rider arc. Everybody, assuming Aida has become self aware new artificial life form that is exposed is seduced by the book to take over. Eventually the "dark" gets them as they cut out their partners.
The problem with arc based shows has been around since Wiseguy introduced the storytelling method to me. Some arcs will be stronger than others and the strongest story the producers wanted to be told is told first leaving the secondary stories to follow up the best. Hopefully you are invested in the characters and stay with second class story. In any case there is supposed to be a third arc this season. My prediction is that the season and perhaps the show's finale will be back to the Inhumans with the Watchdogs and the Senator, who I think will be Inhuman just not exposed to the terrigin yet and her brother perhaps arising for future MCU use, the Inhumans IMAX movie/miniseries coming if no longer in the Agents Of SHIELD show..

Probably.

I'm not sure where I first saw the arc concept in use. It may have been in X-Files, although Babylon 5 also used it. But I think X-Files used it best and most consistently:
1. Episode plot, begun and ended in each episode
2. Concurrent minor arc plot, running through two or three episodes
3. Concurrent season arc plot forwarded through several (but not all) season episodes
4. Concurrent series arc plot forwarded through three or four episodes each season.
A lot of series forget to make sure there is a succinct episode plot. They can get away with that now and then, but not consistently, particularly not if the series is new or struggling. A new or struggling series must be sure of strong episode plots that can build new audience with each episode. Audiences today like to know quickly whether the writers know where they're going.
Strong single-episode plots give audiences quick confidence in the skills of the writers (it has always been a truism in literature that writing a great short story takes more skill than writing a great novel).

Wasn't it you, though, who pointed out that because of television writers contracts, a character that first appears on network television can't appear later in movies?

The Inhumans is going to be an hybrid. IMAX makes the first two hours a movie but the remainder is supposed to be a TV , I forgot which network or Netflix , miniseries

Well, not necessarily. Because last year, the alien planet that Gemma was stuck on was the first storyline, but the secondary story. And then after she was rescued from that planet and Hive escaped too, that was the second storyline, but the primary story.

Oh, I agree because I know that we haven't see the last of them yet. Plus, I believe that Senator Nadeer's brother is going to end up being pretty awesome.
But perhaps I'm just being impatient and allowed two mediocre episodes get the best of me.

Wouldn't that be interesting. And then she and her brother would have to kill each other. (humor)

No, I had read that the Inhumans show isn't going to have anything to do with AOS.

Um... ABC. Same as SHIELD.
