Despite being told it was one of her best performances, in last place came Bristol Palin and partner Mark Ballas.
"We had a rough week," Palin said. "We got through it and I'm glad that it's over with."

I will say that, although I somewhat agreed with the judges' high scores for Kelly and Val, I dont agree at all with the same scores being given to Melissa and Tony. I think Bristol's scores were way too high. It's too bad that Shawn and Derrick chose to break the rules, which cost them valuable points -- their dance truly was probably the most exciting I've seen on the show. I think that Maks and Kirstie's dance was very entertaining, althogh not technically that great. Gilles did a nice job but I've been reading that he's a real prima donna backstage so I'm less enamored with his performances. I still love Emmitt, although he hasnt been delivering like he did in Season 3.

I agree that Kirstie and Bristol should be eliminated tonight, but I suspect Drew or Helio may be going home instead.

I'm also interested in how Paula Abdul's being a guest judge next week will impact the show. Personally, I cant wait to see how she does.

Just like Mom ---- can't take criticism.

What next? Maybe it will be Katie Couric's fault. Or the fault of the Lamestream Media.

Oh, puhlease........let her be voted off this week.
Awww, don't you guys know by now that all of these little "tiffs" etc. are scripted for the cameras to create "drama" and "buzz" for the show? LOL I never buy any of that crap. Come on, it's a REALITY show - that means NOTHING is real!

That said, time for Bristol to go bye-bye. I really enjoyed last night's performances (except hers). I even liked Kirstie's which was entertaining if not the best dancing. Didn't Maks look different with that rocker make-up? I could hardly believe it was him! Kelly and Shawn were really exceptional.
Shawn has the perfect partner in Derek who is probably the most athletic dancer of the male pros.

Well, we know who the Simon Cowell of the group is, and old Len seems pretty susceptible to the attentions of the pretty ladies! She'll definitely liven things up, not that they necessarily need it, but it'll be fun.

I hope Helio sticks around, same for Drew, same for most of them, except Kirstey, Bristol and Emmitt Smith, because I didn't care for his remarks about the speed skater and race car driver that he made last week--joking? Maybe he was, but the editing didn't do him any favors if that's the case.

Oh, that thought certainly crossed my mind.

I think it's entirely possible it was all ginned up - perhaps because of all the rumbles about "why is she even there?"

It could be just a behind-the-scenes way to keep the viewers (and the voters) interested in Palin.

Of course, if it was all created for the cameras, all it really does for many of us to just reinforce the image we already have of Bristol being a self-absorbed attention "you-know-what."

I think that may be exactly the idea.
