Are you blaming alcohol? Mature, mentally balanced ppl don't make 911 calls bc they had one too many drinks and then hang up. For some reason, whoever made the call changed their mind.

I believe the call was followed up and reportedly a kid answered the door.

Or, someone hit 911 by accident. It doesn't matter if you hang up or not, the police have to come to the place from where the call was made and follow up. Cops came to our office once because someone started to dial and apparently hit 911 while attempting to call a different number and then hung up. The cops walked around and asked if everything was OK.

Seriously, do you really believe it were an accident?

Have you ever dialed 911 accidently?

I'm saying that I don't believe it can blamed on alcohol. Lots of people drink, lots of people drink too much, but very few people accidently call 911.

Probation officials "walked around" Phillip Garrido's home too...does not mean everything was "okay"...
Jaycee Dugard, in first interview, says Phillip Garrido parole officer saw her and ignored her - Telegraph

I can easily see officers responding to a 911 call, and being told by an affluent adult, "Officers, there is nothing wrong here.". And the officers leaving...

Well, not from a home, it isn't likely.

But from an office--easily. If you need to dial 9 to get an outside line, as is usually the case, and then 1 before the area code, and then you accidentally hit another 1, you've just dialed 9-1-1. And the call goes through to emergency services. It's happened before--as I said in my earlier post, I remember it happening in the office in the past and the cops coming in to check.

Unlikely from a house, although someone could just be hitting the wrong numbers.

I'm not really getting the significance of this event as relates to the murder, though. Someone calling 911 from the Ramsey house a couple of days before the murder means what, exactly? Someone checking response time?

A lot of people have automated dialing numbers programed into their phones for emergency and friends and at times punch in the wrong dialing number by mistake.

The speculation was that there was something going on that someone wanted to report but then got cold feet.
