Bad areas in Toledo?

I know it sounds like I'm just indicating vague, general directional sides of the city (east, south) but in Toledo... "East Toledo", and the "South Side" (sometimes also referred to as the Old South End, and on some maps as La Onda) are actual particular neighborhoods. Like if somebody says they live on the South Side, I would take that to mean they live in the neighborhoods immediately south of Downtown, off Broadway & the Anthony Wayne Trail, and Western & South. If somebody says they live in "North Toledo" they arent talking about neighborhoods along the Michigan border at the far north of the city. They're talking about the "Old North End" along LaGrange St and Stickney Ave.

Toledo can be quite confusing when it comes to names of neighborhoods and streets that have directions as names, if you arent from here. On the south side, Western Ave and South Ave both run parallel to each other (east/west). There's a street on the south side called Broadway St that runs north and south. Theres also a street on the east side called East Broadway St that runs north and south as well, even though it's called "East" Broadway.

I would say those neighborhoods are associated with all of the crimes you stated. Plenty of theft, lots of drug related crime, and a considerable gang presence. The streets arent running with blood or anything. Like it's not scary or anything, but shootings arent exactly rare either.
But you also can visit the neighborhoods any given day and it's perfectly fine.

Are any of the gangs active in those areas mostly or exclusively composed of white members ? If so then do you know their names or is that confidential information that the police never releases ?

Also how active is the present day Toledo chapter of the Outlaws MC in criminal activity ? I'm asking because I do believe I've read that they used to have a clubhouse in the ghetto part of Toledo and due to Toledo's proximity to Detroit , they may very well have been just as into criminal activity like their Detroit counterparts .

I'm of the impression that they're mostly black or latino gangs. I've never heard of any white gangs but that doesnt mean they dont exist, they easily could. I'm no authority on that subject. Couldnt tell you anything about motorcycle clubs either. I know there's plenty of them, but I dont know anything about them particularly.
