And it's awe-inspiring in the daytime, too.

I love Houston's skyline as well. As a matter of fact it's the 3rd largest in the country behind New York and Chicago. In some pics the Texas Med Center, Uptown and Downtown seem to form a linear line that stretches as far as the eye can see.

Well I know Houston's CBD is the 3rd largest in the country. As far as total number of buildings in all other districts I don't know.

The problem with Miami is it over built & can hardly give all those fancy high rise condos away now. Houston on the other hand builds to meet the demand.

Miami might be 3rd largest skyline now, but not 3rd TALLEST.

Well I will go with Dallas most of these comments are bias anyway. A building size does not make a downtown better. Furthermore Dallas and Houston lack entertainment in the downtown area hmm but Fort Worth downtown is more active than both Dallas and Houston at night.

For now at least. Houston's Downtown is cooking up a sea of awesomeness right now.

You should have been on Main Street in Downtown Dallas last Saturday - velvet ropes all up and down the street...

Houston has a far superior skyline. When you look at it from Prive in Montrose, you only see the downtown skyline. It is beautiful. When you look at it Beltway 8 South/Westbound exiting 45, it looks absolutely magnificent. You see the entire skyline from the Galleria all the way to Downtown. There are two cities in America that have a more impressive skyline. They are New York and Chicago. Who is to say that in 50 to 100 years Houston couldn't be number one?
