It is Roanoke, Virginia.

I'm dying to move to the mountains of VA not in Roanoke but in some dinky small town at least 40 miles away in the cool mountains. Whether my dream will ever come true remains to be seen.

That picture of Houston downtown in the fog is amazing. Iam wondering if they will ever add more skyscrapers to houston. Cities like Chicago and Toronto are planning on adding very tall skyscrapers, i wonder if Houston has something like that going on? does anyone know?

No plans that anyone has heard of, I'm sure. It would be ideal, but I don't think there are any ideas of a super skyscraper for Houston within the next few years. What's sad about this city is that everytime a grand project is proposed, it always gets scrapped. I believe there was an idea for a statue by the port called the Spirit of Houston that would be taller than Lady Liberty herself , but the developer died. I'm starting to believe that we may never see anything huge come our way. A monumental city deserves a prize symbol.

Haha, there is a lot going up in Downtown Houston man. I'll give you one tower to look at for now:

I'll give you some of the links, too.

Well, yeah, see that's the thing. I think the user was talking about something real big. Which is what Houston needs.

60 stories is big. The JP Morgan Chase is the tallest in Houston at 75 stories. I would rather have multiple towers than one large one. One large one does not help out with the Downtown environment, but multiple, smaller towers help DT become the urban place we want it to be.

I really dont understand the fact that cities like Chicago and Toronto are getting huge skyscrapers, while Houston being the fastest growing city is not. Doesnt Houston attract more businesses than Toronto and Chicago? I can understand Chicago to some extent since it is bigger, but Toronto? last i heard Houston's economy is bigger than Toronto's, im not sure about that though.
