Outside Dallas few people mention DTD. Houston is often mentioned.
Unsubstantiated anecdotal evidence, gotta love it

LOL...thats your opinion man. I actually think Houston skyline is more architecturally appealing. Can you do me a favor and name a building(s) in Dallas that has better architecture than the Enron Complex, JP Morgan Chase, Wells Fargo, B of A (my favorite Houston skyscraper), or Pennzoil Place. Actually even the Williams Tower, which is not even in DT Houston is more aappealing than any tower that DT Dallas has IMO.

Although i often give downtown Dallas credit due for it's architecture and aesthetics over Houston, there's not that many more buildings in DTD that are architecturally more pleasing than DTH. Houston's Bank of America building is ONE Badazz building. It would be even better if they'd light it at night. The lit-up gothic spires at Christmas time would be good, if it was done all the time.

Not one building in TEXAS looks better than the Enron Buildings and the other buildings you mentioned are THE most architectural noteworthy buildings in Houston(besides Chase Tower).....BUT.....like always..the houstonians are so quick to remind us of how DTHouston is TWICE the size of DTDallas so if those are the only noteworthy buildings in a sea of brown and grey boxes it wont come off as architecturally attractive IMO.

Every Building in DTDallas is Noteworthy.

Commute times & traffic in both cities are pretty much equal despite Dallas having the larger mass transit system.

In Houston, we all know 70 MPH on the freeway really means 90. If you're driving 70 you're getting run over simple as that.

I'm amazed by the shear amount of posts that can go back and forth trying to somehow sway another's take that is subjective in nature. Oh well, I'd say they are about equal.
