unlike the state fair, ive actually heard of the people performing at the rodeo.
Why would we need all of that when we have football games, Broadway plays, museums, dog show, livestock show, car show, home show, petting zoo, etc.

I don't see Dallas EVER surpassing Houston in terms of downtown skyline or the number of skylines in the metro area. Heck, Uptown Houston is just as big as Downtown Dallas, and The Woodlands Skyline by itself is just as big as the Dallas skylines along I-635 and U.S. 75 between 635 and downtown.

agreed. this comment i came across on another site speaks for the skyscraper market of both cities.

" ^ This pretty well sums up the difference in the health of Houston's downtown office market vs Dallas'.

We whine about 33 story buildings being too short.

Folks in Dallas are ecstatic about a 16 story building."

and especially with the multiple 40-60 story towers Houston has proposed, along with all the other skyscrapers theyre currently building. Houston isnt slowing down anytime soon.

The inner loop skylines alone pretty much match all of DFW. You still have Greenspoint, Westchase, energy corridor, and the woodlands.

Like I have stated many times, I would rather have density than multiple tall buildings that doesn't help with vibrancy at street level. Hey, y'all can have all those skyscrapers but they are gonna be freeway architecture, if it doesn't have any street level presence.

BTW we get excited about a "16 story building" because, it helps densify the urban core.

What? It's like two miniature buildings that make up the Woodlands skyline. Your whole post is over exaggerated.
