M D Anderson is now rated the #1 cancer hospital in the nation with Stanfrod medical now #2. M D was #2 behind at least the last five years. i doubt you will find a better number of top hosipitals in the nation as the medical center in Houston. It is the top medical center in the state that is for sure.

I don't understand why some people can't give credit where credit is due...

There is simply no comparison. Houston's TMC leads the world in so many specialties. Even Gorbachev came here to have heart surgery. The Emirs, princesses, etc from the mideast, with all their $$ come here regularly. One of the Sheiks gave MD Anderson $150 million dollars to build another buildling. Dallas, get over yourself!! http://www.nytimes.com/2011/02/27/us/27ttdallas.html

$$$ Talks and BS walks. Why do you think so much $$ is being invested at TMC? Dallasites are just pissed because TMC has outgrown DT Dallas.

Pissed?.....first off i dont remember it passing dtd. Hooray for TMC. Dallas is no slouch in the medical department. Its not even worth arguing...TMC is the largest yada yada yada..but that does not mean you can't get quality health care in Dallas.

Dallas' medical care today is what Houston's was decades ago. They're just now barely starting to play catch up with the new Parkland Hospital going up. Houston walks circles around Dallas when it comes to building major medical facilities.

Haha. Dallas should be ashamed about their medical center. If I had cancer or anything related to health, I would much prefer Texas Medical Center by far. That's all I can say.

I love both cities.

Everyone I have known with cancer goes to MD Anderson, even people who live a lot closer to Dallas.

Dallas has a good children's hospital & burn unit, but so does Houston/Galveston...in fact, its better.
