The essential answer is that Houston has a slight edge, but nothing extraordinary. There is not much medical care that you can get in once city you can't get in the other. Houston tends to concentrate its medical offerings at TMC for the most part, whereas Dallas' medical needs are scattered throughout the city and the Metroplex. TMC blows any complex Dallas has out of the water, but the overall quality and quantity of medical care in either city isn't particularly superior to the other.
Wrong on so many levels.

Closing Hospitals No Fun For Shriners : NPR
They are not trying to close it down permanetly, they face a hard choice wether or not to close it down. Also, notice that the article says 'six of its hospitals around the country' so it may or may not close Shriners hospital in Galveston permanetly.

No, the article speficically names Galveston as one of the six hospitals they plan on closing. They aren't "trying" to close it down, but it's looking quite likely they will have to if they want to provide free care at the rest of their hospitals.

Care to elaborate rather than simply posting something without any explanation? I can see only one level how I could be wrong--multiple levels would assume there was something perverted or immoral about their post, which I cannot see.

And factually, I believe my post to be accurate. If you care to disagree, perhaps you might feel like explaining why.

Dude, I've been down the road you're on. I'm not going to mention names but there are several soundbyte posters here, who will say you're wrong and present no follow up evidence or explanations to support their viewpoint.

Have fun!
