I'm quite aware, but thanks for pointing that out.

The underlying point is more that golf is hard.

Yeah, I think he's been estranged from his parents for like 8 years now. A reporter asked him about his family not being there after the win yesterday, trying to get more insight into the estrangement and all he said was, he's there to win golf tournaments. I never had to go through being mentally/verbally/physically abused by my parents, thank goodness, but it seems that his parents are basically dead to him.

There's always two sides to every story.

Who knows what the truth is.

My take on it is about the same as the Aaron Rodgers family drama. I don't care, and it's not really anyone's business.

Of course, who knows, maybe both sides (his parents and him) might be mentally unstable!

Unless there's abuse (verbal or physical) there's no reason to be involved or care.

Pretty much. It is sad though whenever such family drama has to play out publicly like that,.

yes - or perhaps Reed felt there was too much control, manipulation by the parents and felt it was time to break free ---

Reed had his family escorted off the course grounds when they were in attendance for one of his matches. That's pretty bad. To have the cops and security kick them out is not cool. Stealing and cheating in the past, almost getting kicked out of 2 colleges because he is such a pain as a teammate. Face it Reed is a jerk, in 20 years after a great career he'll probably have regrets about how he treated his family.
